So far so good... I put the module in it and it fired right up. I think this is the end of my problems... I guess only time will tell huh?... lol I appreciate your help on this. I had the module checked three times before and they said there was about a 5% chance that it was causing the problems. Thats will teach me to not pay attention to that 5%. I was going to change it out when I first had the problems but it never seemed to add up... thanks again and I will let you know how it goes the rest of the week..."Speak softly and carry a big gun!"

what you did with the test light to the PPL/WHITE wire is what the module was supose to be doing. the only place im a little mixed up is, i thought at first you said the noid light was on but not flashing when you tried to start the motor. hope that fixed it i dont trust checking the module off of the car.Mike

Yeah, I hope this does it to. When I first tested it it didn't flash either but when I tested the module, I was checking it against a ground instead of the 12v. Thats where I screwed up in the first place. If I would have checked it correctly the first time, I could have fixed it then. Oh well, live and learn right... I guess I'm young enough to be able to say that though. Thanks for all your help on this, I don't know what I would have done without it. I hope I get to return the favor some day. Your a great guy, thanks again..."Speak softly and carry a big gun!"

Ok, good news update... Almost 2 weeks and no problems starting. I have noticed a really strange turn signal issue like I had when this problem started. My turn signals work for the most part, they just don't always flash. Sometimes they do, sometimes they just come on and stay lite. Sometimes, they start blinking and they stop or slow down. Either way, it's really saratic. It didn't do it this morning but it did yesterday afternoon... Would this be the flasher itself. Maybe a loose connection at the computer since I've pluged and unpluged the plugs so much? Not a big deal, just irritating... Thanks in advance"Speak softly and carry a big gun!"

a flasher will do that, but it sounds like you got a bad ground or a bulb going bad. one bulb will keep it from flashing. the computer dont have anything to do with it.Mike

Thanks guys... Bad ground is the correct answer... lol... I looket at it this afternoon since it's raining and can't do much else outside. It was to the point that when it would malfunction, all of the rear lights would blink real faintly... Anyway, when I took the bed off a few weeks ago to replace the fuel pump. I wust have needed a few more cranks on the ground bolt because it was loose. Thanks again. As far as I know, since it's been two weeks, I think I have my truck back on the road until the next problem shows up... lol
My next project is going to be new shocks all around. It needs it bad. Roughly 75,000 to 100,000 on the monroes that are on there now... Never ends does it?!!!...
Thanks again for the help..."Speak softly and carry a big gun!"

as long as you drive them you got to take care of them. if or when it do break down dgain, just dont assume its the same thing. if its in the running part check for codes first. no codes might not tell you what it is, but it will tell you a lot of things that its not, and thats a good start. or you can do the next best thing and ask somebody on CHR to help.Mike

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
