The old ones are a press on, I guess the best way to do it would be to stand the engine up in a press with the back of the crank supported and simply press it on, Let me tell ya there has been lots of em hammered on,(I know the engine builders are grimacing) but ya take a big risk of killing the thrust bearing, If no other option is available ya could stand the block up on the floor so the back of the crank was supported and then use your BFH to hammer it on...
