New chassis for a 53 Chevy Bel-Air, Help??

So I'm now thinking that why should I go through the trouble and expense of upgrading my stock 50's era chassis with an MII, disc brakes, power steering, larger motor, A/C etc. when I can just transplant the body on to another vehicle chassis (late model whatever) that already has all that I am looking for. Has anyone here done this? Any advice, help, input, tips/tricks? Does anyone know what chassis will fit under a 53 Chevy Sedan (4-door). I know I won't be able to do a lot of this myself (lack of knowledge and space), but I would like to know if it's easy/difficult and what I can mate it up to. Thanks!
