    safty locks

Does anyone know how to wire up safty door locks to transmission neutral switches so that they automatically lock when taken out of park and unlock when put back to park?

I'm just building this 34 and it does not have any exisiting electrical door locks or safty locks. I was wondering if I should put a switch to lock/unlock it manually for emergency purposes.

yes, use a push - pull solenoid on the doors and hook up a micro switch to the shifter. would be the same thing with shaved door handles, with the toe switch except it would be hooked to your shifter.

no i take the micro switch thing back. its a little complicated than that, you would have to use a door lock switch or you would have to have 2 switches instead of one. but it can be done.

I have auto lock safety locks and I called their tech line but didn't get much help. I have their micro switches and relays but the instructions are for wiring to an already equiped door lock system. I would like to know which way would be the best, wire with door lock switches or wire up directly to the neutral switches.IF someone knows, please tell me how to wire it. Thanks

if you gonna use a push- pull solenoid then you cant just hook it into the safety neutral switches, because the switch that makes it work both ways is a lot more complicated than a safety neutral switch. the door switch use one ground to work up and down and a neutral switch cant do that. you can ether lock it or unlock it but not both. if you can some how hook up a door lock switch to the shifter then it will work. get yourself a diagram of a door lock and you'll see what I'm talking about. on a door lock they are locked, unlocked with 3 wires that's hard to do. if you have a after market door lock kit just hook the off, on switch into the shift lever some how instead of on the door.
