u bolts or straps
this question is probably fundamental knowledge, but I don't know and people at auto parts stores don't seem to know either. I got a driveshaft made and I'm looking for the piece to connect the rear u-joint to my 1330 yoke on the ford 9"diff. I took the measurements off the yoke for the guys to make the shaft (i.e.-distance between locating tabs, cap diameter). These were 3.625" and 1.125".
Should I be using u bolts or straps? Is this an option, or will only one work?

Generally not an option. If the yoke has threaded holes it's set up for straps, if they are just drilled it's set up for U Bolts.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Get U-bolts for a 1330 U-joint. All 1330s have the same dimensions.Jack

Gorgeous! That sucks you're having FI issues, but it seems there's always bugs to work out no matter how hard you try to make it perfect.
