Ceramic Coated Headers
Guys,
I have a set of coated headers and side pipes. I have noticed over the years they have darkened to a dull grey.
In the past they almost looked like chrome. There must be a way to polish/clean these back to the original shine.
I have heard some horror stories and am not certain about how to bring them back in shape.
I am looking for help, do not want to put the wrong products on and chance ruining them.
I attached a pic for you to see.
Willing to put some elbow grease in to make them shine, otherwise I quess spend some $$$$.
Any information would be welcome.
Thanks for your help,
Joe

While it is possible to buff out the clear coating on your header's
Why bother??
Just take them off and have them redone,,,,less work in the long run.
As to Ceramicoat parts,,,they will naturaly oxidize over time.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
