    Question 65 Impala dash...radio pull??

     



    Hello everyone, This my first post and its a question. Ok i have a 65 chevrolet impala, and the original am/fm radio does not work, and i want to take this radio out of the dash and send it away for repair. i just want to know how to go about taking this radio out of the dash? is it that complicated and what do i have to pull apart in doing this opperation? any healp would be great ...thanks

    been a while but the best i can remember just pull the knobs off the front and the nuts should be behind them, may be a bracket in the rear, just check on the back of the radio, unhook the wires and antenna wire and it should pull out the rear.

    Are you sure the radio is broken... I was told by the former owner that the AM radio in my 66 ford was broken...so I tore off the old dash and saw that the ONE speaker it has was rotten..I pluged it up to a new one and it works great....but the volume is low..
    so maybe I need help too....ha ha...
