What are these parts that came with Autometer Gauges?

Does anybody know what these little rubber caps are for? They came with my new Autometer Gauge set--they are a very flexible rubber or neoprene material, semi-transparent, and there seems to be about 6 green ones and 6 red ones. There is no mention of what they are in the instruction manuals. I am assuming that they either stretch over the electrical terminals after wiring to prevent short circuits, or else they may???? have something to do with the lights inside the gauges (they are the same shape as the light bulbs inside the gauges). I feel a bit dumb asking this question, but have never seen anything like them before.

My guess is they're for the lightbulbs, but if no-one here knows, I'd shoot'em an E-mail or maybe try the FAQ @ their website http://hp.autometer.com/homepage/homepage.html

I checked their web page, and Denny is right.--they are light bulb covers----weird. I guess there is always something new under the sun. Can you believe it---I've been building hotrods since Adam was a pup, and I never seen those things before.
