Emergency (parking) brake mounted crosswise
Since I do not have sufficient room to mount my floor mount style emergency brake between my seats, I think I will mount it crosswise, directly in front of the drivers bucket seat. Since the pull created is in line with the handle, it seems logical that the cable running from the E-brake handle back to the twin cables (which go to the 2 rear wheels)should run around some kind of pulley, to redirect the pull so that it is parallel to the centerline of the roadster pickup body. I have never seen an article on this, and left to my own devices I am sure I can engineer something suitable. I am just curious to see how other people have approached this. ---Anybody got pictures? I am definately going to use the floor mount handle.Old guy hot rodder
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
