Thread: pickup tubs

just started a 57 chevy pickup project need to tub the bed. should i put the tubs above the wood bed or cut the wood around the tubs. any insight or any other ideas would be great.

Well Since Your Going To Tub It . It Wont Really Matter Much About Keeping It Stock I Would Go A Head And Cut The Wood To Me It Would Be Easier To Achieve Center Of Gravity In Keeping It Low

I have a 50 and will most likely be tubbing it too.
Are you making your own tubs?
What was your procedure?

Buy the tubs from summit or some one then weld them in.
They are well worth the coast and are cheap compared to the headaches of making your own. just my two cents
