shouldn't hurt the cover , if it "isnt torqued", just don't "BEAR" down on'em because anything'll give at some point .Originally posted by gemcleod
The cover was slow leaking oil and when I took it off, the gasket was ruptured. I thought that might happen everytime you take it off, but from your response, I guess it was broken before. I dont have a torque wrench yet, so I hope it doesnt harm the cover if I hand tighten it.
Does it damage or warp the part if it isnt torqued?
they just need to be tight enough not to leak....... till ya'get your wrench
