    I also noticed a stain in the intake ports around...

    I also noticed a stain in the intake ports around the rocker stud hole---you need to put sealer on the intake rocker stud threads

    looked again, saw that was fuel injector nozzles but fact remains...

    so how much oil did it use in how many miles?
    Did you use lite oil rings?
    The block notch for the intake valve shows a lot of ring---has it been made bigger for some reason??
