A wise man once told me that the only stupid question is one that is not asked. The pvc system in and by itself shouldn't cause fuel in the pan, but running too rich to compensate for the vacumn leak...

daveid, the engine has to have a way to breathe. Run the pvc from the base of the carb or the fitting on the the intake. Then run a hose from the cap on the right valve cover to the base of the air...

If it was me I'd run the pvc off of manifold...
If it was me I'd run the pvc off of manifold vacumn and run an an open cap to the air cleaner.
