That's because Edelbrock SELLS 500 CFM carbs. Scooter is drag racing, the 450's will be a better carb for this application....

The 450's should work great on your skinny block, used to run them on a 302 with all forged innards that really worked good with the 450's. I used an Edelbrock intake, probably not much different...

Neither.... go with an open plenum and maybe a spacer to add a bit more power......Your 60 ft. times will tell you what height spacer is correct. The crossrams were a farce, all show, no go....
