ranger
hi all this isn't bout my car but my ranger that I use to haul it..the guy I bought it from put on a 3" body lift and a 3' suspension lift, I guess torsion bars in the front.no front coil springs. i tried to lower it by turning the torsion bar bolts. that didn't help.. so these are aftermarket ones, so do I set the ride height by taking one out and lower the truck then reinstall at a lower setting to hold that height.??.the ends look like a stop sign bolt patteren.

Sounds right. If the bars are 8-sided, then one flat would equal 45 degrees. Are the lower arms angled down at least 45 degrees from horizontal, so that moving one flat would put them at horizontal.....or close to horizontal? If the lower arms are horizontal now, or close to horizontal, then you are going to have to re-engineer the entire front end.

Are there any identifying marks or features? Any idea who made the suspension? There might be a help file online if you know the manufacturer
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
