Bear,
On mine I used a J bend piece for the lead tube. The rest I got the primary in place, cut to fit and blended to sit against the megaphone tube, then marked the megaphone with a fine line sharpie, around the OD of the tube. Once marked I used a "step bit" to cut a nominal 1" hole in the middle, and then hogged them out with a spiral cut bit in a pneumatic die grinder, leaving enough lip to butt against, then tacking in the filet. I'm OK with MIG, so I tacked it all in place, then carried them to a kid who has his college degree in welding (ASME Inspector) and he TIG'd them for me. I talked to the guy at LakeHeaders.com (CRS has his name blocked right now.....) and he really helped me get a handle on the process. For a basic set, straight off the heads, he can probably make them for you pretty cheap - http://www.lakeheaders.com/Home.htmlRoger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
