Its going to be one heck of a project.....Im building my frame as well. What size of motor(horse power) do you think is going to be sitting between the rails. If you plan on having 300hp + I would suggest to spend a little extra money and work with 2x4x 1/8th wall tubing. Much stronger and better for frame stress. If you have patience and accept that the project will not be done over night.....do a lot of planing, drawing, measuring and them when you have a clear plan to what you want....I would say go for it. I have had my truck in the garage for 3 months now and I just finished my frame measurements and had my new rails CNC plasma cut to achieve the stance and suspension that I will be using.
