Do you know what year the heads are? Just curiuos what you have there?
If you flip one of the heads over and snap a photo we can see if they are closed chamber or open. also any letters or numbers on the heads or the block and we can tell what you have there, if you would like to know for sure. Kurt
this is what i did to it in 8 months
replace 9" brakes
fabricate seat brackets/front bumper
adjust valves/timing /dwell etc.
clean/patch gas tank
change all fluids differentials/tranny/ etc.
fuel pump rebuild (failed bought replacement)
replace warn locking hubs with selectros
repack wheel bearings replace seals
replace rear inner seals
replace seats with originals
install choke cable
replace steering wheel
wire wheel interior
treat interior for rust.
paint gas tank
turn signal switch(failed bought replacement)
install side spare carrier
rebuild steering box
broken lug stud
paint/install glass in 1/2 cab
replace tube for oil pressure gauge
patch holes in dash/ windshield/floorboards
treat rust on body
it is coming along.
everyday after work something gets done to it.
we will put 2"square tubing all around the windshield frame.
there is now 3/4" tubing under the lip the dash slides into and a section of plate along the bottom edge.
once this is all tied together.
then we go to the doors
the rear panels
then the back.
it's obvious why nobody does these ancient chevy's.
all that wood is a pain in the neck.
Thanks for posting those photos!! Looks like a great start to a fun rig!!
I also like all the signs in your shop

he REALLY knows his cars.
here is a question.
what other axles are usable?
from ANY car or truck.
