    Sometimes the flange gets bent up from overtightening the cover... Best way is to use a hammer and a piece of steel as a backer, hammer it flat again so it can seal.

    ok i'll try that. but the weird thing is, when i noticed oil all over the motor, i checked the bolts on it and they were finger loose, and then i tightened them, cleaned it all up, drove it 1 day, checked it that night and oil was all over again. i'll do that though, thanks.
