    and the brakes need to be bleed and i may need new shoes, but everything else checks out i need to replace the wiring harnes for the headlights/parking lights. and i need to get carpet for the interior and get new gauges but other then that its in great condition, and its the first 54 i found with the motor and tranny still in it!

    From the pics, it dosent appear that the fire was too intense. The sheet metal looks pretty straight. But that body style (49-54?) are all over the place yet. I dont know what they are bringing in price wise in your area but that seems like TOP dollar to me! What do you care if its got the original driveline? You said you were gonna build a rod, not restore it! Id offer him an even trade at most. But cash wise, maybe 1800-2500 tops! But thats just my opinion......
