brake donor for hot rod
Up here in Northwestern Ontario, Canada (yes, it was snowing today!) I have very little access to old parts donor vehicles, so it's hard to make an ol' skool rod!
I am trying to make a Traditional Model A V-8 street rod, using all parts from other vehicles, just like they did in the '50's and 60's. (Ordering new stuff from catalogs is too easy, I want this challenge)
I have access to a '48 F-1 chassis...
On a traditional Model A-V8 hot rod, would it be good to use the F-1 front brakes?
Can I swap the original spidles with '48 F-1 spindles and brakes.... If not, how do I do it?
Would the back axle, brakes, torque tube and wishbone be a good candidate for my A-V8?
Thanks
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
