Yup, it's that kind of construction that give Rat Rods a bad name.

'38 Dodge, 327/350, I built about 5 years ago.
Thanks for the kind remarks about my Dodge pictured above. Just like anything else, there's a range of hot rods that can fall under the Rat Rod label. The Dodge is finished off a bit more than some.
Here's the '38 GMC my grandson and I built while he was in high school. As you can see, he wanted it a bit rougher. It was for him so he dictated the style and the quality of work. I assured it was built safe. He learned a lot about fabricaton on this project. Now he is working on wind farms and cell phone towers. Yikes! I can't go 10 feet above the ground.

Attachment 50628Attachment 50629Might as well make my intro here. I most likely will not post in other sections here, because I don't have the moey to build a $50k hot rod, but love to look at em . Thgis is my 48 F1 I built a while back and just sold it this year. I made the front grill using two full size chevy truck door window frames. hahaha. It was a fun truck to drive. I'm building a low T bucket right now that has a 289 Ford power plant. Looking forward to looking at your rides and shiowing mine.
