I had a 77 Mustang II Coupe back in the 80s and really liked the car (factory 302/4 spd car). Unfortunatly, after the rear end was hit (HARD by an Army Duce and a half) and shoddy body work after the car was eventually sold.

I spent about 5 years hunting for the right Coupe to build (it had to be straight and rust free, everything else was considered minor) I found this one. The up side was it had just been repainted, upholstered, and came with a new set of aftermarket 14" wheels and tires, it was a factory V8/C4/AC car. The previous owner had run it after losing oil pressure and spun 2 bearings.

The car is being built as a sleeper, I want it too look reasonably stock and surprise people when I put my foot in it.

At this point, the front and rear suspensions have been rebuilt to include new springs on all 4 corners, the factory sport suspension (1" front and 1/2" rear sway bar) added. A posi has been added to the factory 8" rear end, new brakes, shocks etc etc. A Custom head pipe (2 1/4") and single exhuast (sewer pipe size) with a Dyno Max muffler has been fabricated. THe car has also been converted to a 4 spd (Ford Top loader single rail over drive) from an 83 Mustang GT.

The engine is currently being built, a 351 W with aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake and carb, ported stock exhaust manifolds, etc etc. It will be running stock stamped valve covers, and a stock looking but custom dual snorkel forced air aircleaner. Everything to include the intake and heads will be painted Ford blue.

I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
