      A good rule for great pictures, unless you are just happy with thumbnails : ask the guy to please put the hood down or pass. You know there's a great engine in there but take a separate picture of it. The main picture should be of the whole uninterrupted car. Same with open doors, trunks, gas filler covers and anything else that interrupts the lines of the car.

      bill-k, normally that would be the case but in an indoor car show, while the show is going on and the owners have all but fled the building, you take the best shot you can get and go with it. I usually get to the shows on set-up night so I can ask for these little favors and usually its no problem because the owners are still there setting up.
