I am looking for running boards for a 46 chevy 3/4 ton pickup, and a rr fender and chrome lower grille for a 46 1/2 ton pickup.
    Thanks,
    Scott...

Hi Scott, I am building a street rod out of a 1942 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up. I don't have any of the parts you listed, but i do have a lot of good original parts i would like to sell. Gas tank, Radiator, windshield frame, windshield wiper motor, some of the roll out windshield parts, etc. Let me know how your trucks coming along. Regards, Frank in North Carolina

    46 chevy pickup

Nice to hear from you Honest Frank. I am not planning on using any of the parts you listed, however littleoakie@lisco.com is looking for a windshield frame for her son's 46. She may even be in the market for some of the other parts you listed.
I am in the process of extending the cab on my truck 16" and adding pop out windows. You can then use the 135" boards from a 1 ton and you don't have to cut as much off the bed. (If I ever find 1 ton boards?)
I got a MII crossmember from Larry T over at the rrt board and will be using coils on the front and leaf springs on the rear with a ford 9".
    I will use a LTI and auto/overdrive.
My truck is in a town about 100 miles from me where the actual extension work is going on and I get over there as much as I can and get in the way, but I am learning.
Tell littleoakie I sent you if you e-mail about the parts.

Hi Scott, Thanks for the lead. Your truck sounds like it's going to be real different. I am just making floor board and finishing the body work. Hopefully i will put the body back on the frame soon. Talk to you soon, Frank in North Carolina.

    46 Chevy Pickup

    Hello Tomslik,
No I do not have any pictures to post but I plan to take some in a few weeks and will post them here or over on Fat Cats board.
I am not real happy with the side windows on my truck but I am going to put the door on it and see if it looks better? If not I will have to do something different to the windows. I extended the cab 14" in hopes that I could use the longer 1 ton running boards from a 46 but I haven't been able to find any so I guess I will just be making some.
I will attempt to load a few pictures later.
