'58 Plymouth Lug Bolts wanted

Howdy Gang,
Grandson figures we better start collecting parts for the '58 Plymouth.
We have only two bolts on each wheel so we need 6 Right and 6 Left hand thread lug bolts.
We would also like to see what the Tail light look like on that car anybody have one they could show a picture

I found them easily online. There is a website I found called www.rockauto.com , They stock both sides lug nuts. They show a Wagner part # for the STD thread ones at BD61281 and the reverse thread ones at part #BD61280, They are only between 80 and 90 cents a piece there. Also NAPA auto parts may carry them locally for you. Hope this helps You could also swap out the reverse side studs for regular studs and STD lugnuts so you do not have to go through this again. 'twere mine I would be following Don Jr's suggestion to get new RH thread studs for both sides . Why mess with LH threads on wheels? That was a bad idea when it was new

I believe the only problem with what Rock Auto shows is that it is wrong.

The 58 Plymouth should take a lug BOLT, not a stud and nut like we're normally used to. The flanges are drilled for the left and right hand thread so really the only way to have all right hand threads would be to dig up another pair of right hand drums (but you would still end up having bolts. I seem to remember some guys converting the the drums to studs by using screw in studs (not the press in like Rock auto shows). The issue can also be solved by either converting to 57-8 Dodge drums which did use studs or do a later model rear end swap and front disc conversion.

As far as bolts just to get you by check with a trailer supply place......that's where I was able to get my last set (both left and rights).

Don Jr, I know all about them because it was one of the most stupid, aggravating setups I’ve ever had to change a tire on at night.

The drums also had a small alignment stud that stuck out and fit into small hole in the rim to help align/hold the wheel while the first couple of lug bolts were installed…..of course many of them had been cut off when the wheels without the alignment holes/custom wheels were installed. YUP a real joy.
