    I here what you are saying Dave. I have been looking at new items and think that the price might sting for a while.. so I am trying the "used" option first to see what turns up.

    I don't blame you for trying to save those dollars first. For several years I did the same before I finally bit that plastic card and ordered new. What I saw was real junk - all needed wood and most were bent/twisted along with the rust. Where I looked mostly were the two biggest vintage car swap meets in the US - Hershey and Carlisle, PA. along with several other smaller. If I did find a vendor with a set of restorable irons, he thought they were gold and his final retirement option.

    The total production run of '30-'31 roadsters was only 118,400 Standard and 64,375 Deluxe. Of those ~183,000 cars, at least 250,000() have been restored - or at lest you would think by looking at the restoration sites
