If your motor is bone stock, the 2101 will work fine. If you have installed or plan to install headers and aftermarket cam, then this would be a better choice...

Don't be put off by the power band. This manifold will make more power than any other in a street motor from 1500 to 5500. You don't make any power between idle and 1500 to speak of anyway. The torque converter will stall up that high, so idle to 1500 is unimportant.

It's a bone stock 350 in an 81 vette, and I'm mainly gonna use it as a cruiser.

OK, then I assume you're trying to save some sheckels by scoring a used one. Have you tried craigslist or ebay?

stick with the performer, not rpm, if you have the stock hood! the rpm will not clear the corvette hood!

If I had a Corvette and could pick up 30-40 hp with a RPM over a Performer, chopping up the hood would be the least of my worries. That's like the guys who say headers won't fit. They'll fit, you just have to modify whatever is in the way or move the motor to the passenger side of the vehicle some or whatever, but THEY WILL FIT.
