'1941 Ford Dash
Hi All. I'm looking for metal (chrome if possible) 1941 Ford Dash Panels. Most were plastic but some deluxe models and woodie wagons came w/metal panels. I need the left and rt panel W/Clock. Thanks.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Hi all. I stand corrected. The chrome dash panels were an aftermarket item from Pep Boys and some other suppliers. If anyone can remember where to find them I would appreciate your reply. Thanks. Charlyg.

Just a nostalgic note since I see you also have a '46 Ford. A high school friend had a '46 Ford convertible and used the Pep Boys chrome dash panels for his '46. One summer weekend he drove to the Jersey Shore (beach) for the weekend, in July I believe, and came back with severe sun burn on his face from the chrome reflection of the sun with the top down? So the chromed panels are neat on a closed car but may not be a good idea with an open car.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
