Thread: Door bolts wanted

I removed the 2 doors from my 47 chevy last month. I had to drill out some of the door hinge bolts because they were so rusty. Before I did this I checked with the Chevs-of-the-Forties store to make sure thay had original replacements. They said they did!. I ended up ordering 15 of them and drilling out about 8.
However when I received them, I found that the head width was not the same.

Does anyone know where i can get door hinge bolts that match the originals?

Thanks for the info. I will give the site a try.
 The bolts are 5/16.

I pounded on the hammer removal tool for about a week and managed to loosen only about 3 and broke the Phillips bit.

Here is what I ordered from the Chevs-of-the-Forties store. The thread size and length was correct. The problem is that the original heads are 3/4 inch wide!

My local Ace Hardware has the best variety of bolts around...

Take a look at flathead Allen bolts.

I found that standard thread FH Allens had heads that worked fine in my 31 Model A roadster.

Your bolts look to be NC so you could find them in stainless pretty easy.
NF may require using non-stainless, but no big deal.

Use a touch of Never-Seize on the threads if you use stainless.

The pic may give you an idea of head size on the 1/4-20 FH Allens shown.
