    1956 Pontiac Parts

Does anyone know where I could find door panels? I tried Cal Pontiac Restoration, but no door panels. I would like to get new/replacement panels as opposed to used. Does anyone know a source of good interior parts before I go to an upholsterer? It's a 1956 Pontiac Chieftain Catalina, 2DR HT.

I'm also looking for an original radio/speaker and a set of plastic knobs for the dash. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
It's not really work unless you'd rather be doing something else!

They don't make pre-upholstered re-pop door panels. However, the doors are the same shape as '55-56 chevy so you can buy basic bare panels and have them upholstered to match relatively easy.

1955-1956 pontiac share a lot of the same parts as 1955-1956 chevy. Try the chevy places first before paying pontiac prices. Most pontiac parts suppliers buy chevy parts and mark them up 10-20% if they can.

Knobs are not currently being remanufactured as far as I know.

Parts sources are: California Pontiac Restoration "CPR" www.pontiacparts.net
    Ames Performance www.amesperf.com
    Kanter www.kanter.com

    good luck.

There is a place I found that will do new replacement panals for almost anything
1950-60 GM... I can't remember the site but it was pricey. almost 800 for 2 panals. They covered that year in pontiac I remember...
