like i said before, a stock car in 39-40 what motor would twist that high?

Hey guys. We're runnin a bored out original flathead from a truck. Its not one of the 60's but the bigger one. You don't actually get to turnin too many RPM's because its for short track dirt racing. The way its set up right now, we have to run in 2nd gear the whole time. The way we'd like to set it up is with a 6.37 rear end gear so we can run in 3rd gear and still be able to turn up enough RMP's to get us in the power curve while JUST coming out of the turns. Otherwise, we can't turn enough RPM's to get the power we want to run in 3rd gear. Remember...its a short track setup. So, any leads as to where I can get one? Is there anyone making repro's of the old gears?

P.S. Those higher gears usually came out of mountain TRUCKS. One guy i talked to said the 6.37 passenger car gears were made by Getz Gears. Does anyone know if they still exist?
