I'm not certain about this, but I don't think there's a vacuum pump on the car, vacuum from the intake manifold plenum is used to operate the accessories. My neighbor has a 'Vette that ceased to operate the light flaps and found that all the vacuum lines had self-destructed from age and were leaking.
