    Rust Free Trucks

Hey everyone you guys are great. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good places to find rust free Chevy pickup trucks. Im looking for late 70's to mid 80's RUST free trucks. If anyone has any info that would be great. Especially near Alabama area. Im from Michigan but willing to travel. Keep up the great site. Thanks

I've got a 76 which the undercoating is mostly intact and at some point in the trucks life most of the underside was coated with red lead or some other primer of similar color. This has kept rust to the body which is very minimal, a few small holes in the passenger floor and the lower rear corners of some wheel wells. The frame is in excellent shape. It's a California truck and that is why, though.

There is a '77-79 stepside for sale here with original looking paint and no visible rust. I never stopped to look at it, just when I drove by. Body looks straight too.

I am in California, no I am not interested in selling my truck, but there is a 77-79 stepside for sale here. I'm not a big fan of the stepside, I drive a 2wd short box fleetside. Besides, my truck has some dents in it that need dealing with, it's got a motor and tranny that will need rebuilding in the next few thousand miles, I'm giving them another 10-20k to live. It needs new ball joints too. Once I get all of that done, it will be a sweet ride and a great work truck.
