I have $250 gift certificate off Bowler Transmission

I am a member of the Goodguys car club and last year at Joliet IL. I won a gift certificate from Bowler Transmission for $250. After reading the fine print the gift cert. is only good toward the purchase of a new Trans. or toward having yours rebuilt. I have a turbo 400 and all I wanted was for them to go through it, but they said I can not use the gift cert. for that. Bowler is a top notch performance trans shop located in Lawrenceville, Illinois. The only thing is that the gift cert. needs to be used by 9/31/08. Someone make me a reasonable offer and I will send you the gift certificate. If you know of this trans shop and are planning on taking your trans there make me an offer. If you want to call the trans shop their number is 618-943-4856.

Sounds kind of like they were "Indian Givers" to some degree. They give a gift certificate for a prize, then put some pretty tough restrictions on it. Really nice of them, huh?? Not sure I'd want to do business with guys like that anyway if I were you.

    Tim,

Sounds like you were either mis-understood or someone didn't know what they were saying. The certificate that you won is good towards a purchase of a new transmission or rebuilding of an existing one. Freshening yours will fit the criteria, no problem. Call and ask for Tom or Mark and they will get you taken care of. This is the number one use for these certificates, we give them obviously with some stipulation as any certificates would, but would gladly support your request. Let us know if we can help you out. Thanks!
