The last paint job I did, I wet sanded it with (I think) 1,000 or 1,200 grit with a block. Sand and dry it off from time to time to see where your at. Once all the shine is gone it's flat, Then buff it with rubing compound then polishing compound. It will shine like glass. Just don't get carried away and sand or buff through the top coat."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
