You need to find an Automotive Paint Jobber as they sell the TRI-Stage Paint for any car made! Its all Base Coat /Clear Coat and can get quite expensive .Originally posted by jdstephensonzz
Hey I want to know what is involved to get the white pearl paint that is on the new Lexus sport 2 seater? What color primer, base and whatever else they use. Do I buy Lexus paint from the dealer??? Any help out there? What do you say "SprayTech"?
Thanks
You can use any color sealer , but a tintable sealer tinted white will help in faster coverage on the first White Base coat, then you will have a MID-Coat ( which is your pearl coat) spray between 3-4 coats , then clear it , that is how its done.
I spot Tri-Stage Cadillacs all day long , its not tough when you know what your doing.
Just be carefull as to many coats of pearl ( as I have mentioned many times before ), will go muddy ( white base will get yellow or go real grey looking) with to many coats of pearl !!! So be careful of loading up on the pearl, as less is usually better in the pearl application !
