A true candy would generally have a base color, like gold and then the transparent paint sprayed on top would give the candy effect, I would say unless your existing base color is that of the base color of the candy your going to need to reshoot base first otherwise the candy effect would not even be close to what your seeing in a sample.
I don't know if I helped or not! Practice and a good spray gun definetly helps on those type of paints, otherwise the dreaded tiger striping is very evident in candies. Best of luckWhy is mine so big and yours so small, Chrysler FirePower
