Whats the right type filter for painting epoxy paints or any auto type paint ?

I have a full face MSA mask and have a few type "H" filters for it. The label says its good for dust fumes and mist including asbestos dust and mist. Says it gives no protection from gases or vapors. Are these filters suitable for painting ?
