need orange paint pics/ suggestions for paint on my 41 willys, base coat/clearcoat

So my willys truck is getting a makeover this winter. I've always loved really loud colors, and specifically orange hues. I have picked one out that I may go with and its made by BASF, paint code number CZZ119 Orange amber pearl. I may have a little more flake thrown in it as well. I want some pictures of some other orange base coat clear coats as well if possible, with the paint codes as well. I cant seem to find any pictures of vehicles done in this orange amber pearl yet. I want to stick with a base coat clear coat only, no tri colors or candies.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Yes, that Coupe is an excellent choice of colour . Back to the Willy's, I like the House of Kolor Tangerine with a good dose of medium flake thrown in. Sorry don't have any pictures or codes for it but that is what is going on my T Bucket whenever I get to that stage.

I looked up your Orange Amber Pearl, and from the little paint chip I have to say it looks pretty tame compared to Parkwood's coupe in Hugger Orange. If you really "...love loud colors..." then I'd keep looking. As for HOK, my paint guy sells them, but he can also match them in a more economical line - you get the HOK "pop" at about 1/2 the price....

I was in there one day and a guy was trying to get the codes for a Lamborghini Orange, and his numbers weren't working. Looking at them they DO have some pretty hot oranges, but it looks like some of them might be multi-stage....

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I did a roadster for a guy a few years back, color was solar orange, an '04 and up Nissan color.....I'll try to find a picture of it, had it mixed in PPG bc/cc.

I like the copper colors too. I found the orange amber pearl online too and the chip online is a terrible example of actually seeing it in person. I like the higher orange but it's almost too flat of an orange, but maybe if I flake it?

Most all the bc/cc oranges and coppers (and many other colors) are a very translucent color, the shade of the sealer is critical to get the shade of the paint right! Too really get orange to "pop", using the right base under the orange will really change the characteristics of any color with pearls in it!!!! Might want to consider getting a pint of the color you're considering mixed up, then try it over a few different shades of sealer and different base colors. You can create lots of different effects with translucent colors, just try some different things til you come up with a combination you like!

That is good advice! And don't think the color you see on a computer monitor is even close to what you'll see in real life! Every monitor is a little different!!!

I've found that chips aren't even close sometimes... I did the qt. cans and sprayed a few test panels that way you know what you're getting and for what'll you'll spend in gallons it will save you money...

Heck that is beautiful and absolutely love the height of the headlights on it. I noticed too that it has your signature third light ( fog ) on the front. You do an amazing job on your cars Sir.
