Since you had the body soda blasted, you want to make sure you remove ALL the residual left from the blasting. I have heard horror stories on having lots of trouble with the paint not bonding due to the soda.
I would talk to any professional body shop guy and ask what needs to be done before you prime anything.

Yup,,and I have seen the problems..Be very careful prepping after..I think a gallon of wax n grease remover,would help.. wash it down with that a couple of times..One of the problems,is,that it leeches out of the seams in the body,,and creates havoc after the top coat is on.. Need to be ANAL about cleanliness after soda blasting in particular..
