boy i have been there many time as a painter we use to wash the insides down with 330 or440 ppg prep before sanding and still get fish eyes .you need to wash it down with a poly cracker or strong soap to get the oils and armor all that get baked in. cars trucks that smoker have owned can be fun so its a mix of this stuff .any hot thinner paint that thinned with lacquer can be some times less chance of fish eyes .some times we had to strip it to bare steelIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

fish eyes. Finally I tried a flat paint which worked great. Still looks fine after 7 years.
