Thats not really something that anyone can give you a estimate on bud,its gonna vary from one shop to the next.

    Few things about paint jobs:

1: you pretty much get what you pay for.

2: the majority of the quality of the finished job depends on how much time is spent in the preperation.

3: if you get a fast "cheaper" paint job from a production type shop then alot of times it will look alright for the first year but wont hold up as well as a more "quality" shop job a few years down the road.

4: taking the chrome and trim and anything else off yourself will help to lower the price a bit.

5: black is a harder color to paint and shows imperfection more than any other color so its gonna cost a bit more than other colors.

6: the price will range from $300 for a "production" type shop like macco to $4000 and up for a well established shop.

7: tryin find someone who had there car painted by the shop your considering and see how the job is holding up if they had it done a few years ealier.

    good luck with your search!

Reason i said that streets is just becuase he said the truck needs some body work it sounds like he wants the shop to do the work so if thats the case and he wants black then they will have a bit more labor in the work to do the black for him and have it look good.

Red is a very popular color though and thats the reason some shops charge more for it cus they know that people will pay a little extra just to get red ....cant blame them though i just paid to have the 66 bird sprayed RED!

I never knew red has gold in it. Why does red paint always seem to fade faster than any other color?

    body rot

both of the rear cab corners are rotted, and could be fixed with the replacements available from jcwhitney, and above both rear wheels is rotted, they can also be replaced with the the replacements from jcwhitney, other than that, the paint is just faded and the usual little scratches.
