I have to get new frt brake drums for my '65 Rambler.. pulled the RF drum just to check them to make sure they would pass inspection.. the shoes are fine. less than 1/4 wore but the drum is split, right in the center of the contact surface in like an 8" line .. never seen that b4 but Rockauto lists the drums for $51 each, so I might as well get both... heres my question, I hate rusty parts and I know fresh steel will rust up real quick.. can I spray the new drums with a high temp paint? like Dupli color 1,200* paint? I'v got a few cans of the silver laying around. .. never seen that b4 but Rockauto lists the drums for $51 each, so I might as well get both... heres my question, I hate rusty parts and I know fresh steel will rust up real quick.. can I spray the new drums with a high temp paint? like Dupli color 1,200* paint?
