Hey Bill, can I bring my 34 to you when I need a complete new paint job????
My wife really hates the current color. She's the only one who does, but she counts more than the others and I don't have to live with them.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Just some suggestions ..........
1:
Remove as much weather striping as possible or feasable, nothing like new door seals and window rubber to make it real nice. Not sure if that quote includes painting the "jams" or not?
2:
Remove as much trim as feasable ,the more the better ,the same as weather stripping goes for the trim, this is the number one spot a paint job will peel from, soo as much removal as possible helps reduce this.
3:
Take little parts off ,such as emblems and side mirrors etc and use this time to clean them up and get new gasketts ,etc, they are cheap and help keep the paint from peeling, same goes for the door locks ,remove them and clean + oil them, the key that has slowly disapeared over the years is inside that lock as a fine metalic powder.
4:
Take it to the car wash and wash the under side of the chassis, use degreaser etc ,before taking it in to be painted.
The more little things that you do like this ,the better the final product will be ,the weather stripping on the door windows and the windshield gaskett are a little bit of money ,but door seals and the smaller stuff is cheap, the washing cleaning and removal of small parts is virtually free.
Hope this helps.......Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

That is terrible, sad to hear about him.
