    I think tinting it with the right toners will be alright , just be careful of not turning it muddy that is if your not happy with the shade it is now .
    A Dark to Mid Charcoal will go good with a light to mid purple shade .

    With no remark on my paint gun offer , you must be thinking it over

    Yeah, I looked at some very nice mid range charcoals, found a Chrysler one with about the same about of metallic in it....

    Should just get the jambs or something ready and spray a shot of the purple to see what it looks like, probably beats the heck out of a lot of guessing, huh?????

    I bet I know just which chrysler charcoal you are thinking , its a coarse high metallic , I use it under my Kandies alot , with all that flake it sure makes Kandys POP

    I usually do a spray out on a 12"x12" panel with my color then mask off for a few color selections for stripes , then clear it and polish it , take it out side and see which ones I like .

    Having a mix bank at work helps too I get to play mad paint scientist
