anyone know the paint code for the silver metallic used on the earlier Dodge neons? like '96-'00 or so. I'm eventully going to do some dent repair on 1 for a friend, figuring I may have to spread some bondo to smooth out dent creases, after I work the dents out. I'd like to just be able to use some off the shelf color matched Dupli color in the 5oz spray cans, which they have some, with specific colors, but there's a couple chrysler silvers, they don't list in the 5oz spray. I don't have access to the car, to check the code myself. If I gotta have a quart of paint, and a quart of clear mixed up, to spray w/ a gun, well that's what I'll do then. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

 Try Googling "auto color library".

Yeah, You might want to check with your local Automotive paint store, however ( knowning Dodge ) they will have many shades of silver, You will have to get the gas lid door and take it with you, there computers are pretty good at getting a close match. if your painting a door make sure you blend to the next panel or play it safe and paint the whole side, if not you will see what you did and didn't do.. hope this helps ... I could not figure it out. Maybe it's not a good site for finding the code.Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 10-01-2007 at 06:29 PM.

shouldn't be any need to have a color custom matched, as long as I can get the correct color code. if there's a few. I'll just wait till I get the car in, to buy paint, and check the code on the door. yea. I kno I'm going to have to blend it all in. going to try to keep costs down, so I'll just blend into the next panel.
