You can do it with rattlecans, but that will never match a 'spray gun" finish. Use a lot of masking tape and paper (old newspapers will work, use a double thickness) to mask EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING that you don't want to get overspray on. Do it in a garage, and don't set in the car with the windows up while you do it. Mask the headliner, the glass, throw an old sheet over the seats and floor, mask your door and kick panels. Since the paint from rattlecans is extremely thin, do your surface prep with a scotch-brite pad to avoid any sanding scratches. Go to a bodyshop and beg a small amount of "final cleaner" for washing the silicone contamination and wax off all the surfaces to be sprayed (preferably BEFORE you use the scotch-brite pad.)Old guy hot rodder
