Here is another old favorite from about '67-'68. Tommy Ivo's "giraffe" car. Sorry I don't have better pics. Somewhere I have a great magazine centerfold of the car at Orange County or Lions.

thanks for the hero truck post. ive seen many pics of the paint work only before, i had no idea it was built to raise off the frame like that. that is an awsome truck in every detail!
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

I've seen a lot of excitement over this one, since it came out. We have a car with a similar theme here, and it gathers a crowd every time.

Here is another one I've liked since I saw it. The "use of color" blows me away!
This is by Mike Wiley, and the picture is from the HOK website.

I always liked the original paint job on the Blood Sweat and Tears Willys gasser as well. I couldn't find a pic; but, as I recall it also had an interesting red, white and blue American flag scheme very similar to the Mike Sullivan altered posted earlier.Sometimes NOW are the "good old days"...

I don't have much imagination on paint. Spray Tech gave me the complete run down some time ago for the paint on my Ranchero, should it ever get to that stage. My favorite is still Blue with White stripes... Oh yeah, got to get one of these some day for ME!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

An original or a kit? :-)~ LOL!
I think 5 were originally made......but then my memory has let me down sometimes.

Doubt seriously it would be an original, unless maybe I win the lottery!!!! I would like to buy just the body, then build my own tubular chassis.... Not a doubt in my mind what the color would be though. Just like the pic I posted!!!!!!

Classic themes are always good. AMERICAN RACING COLORS would certainly qualify as "classic". :-)

I've never been very creative or imaganitive on paint jobs.... Over the years all my Mustang projects have ended up Blue with White stripes, or Cobalt Blue with Silver stripes.... Occasionally I got really "creative" and used a different basecoat under the blue, but that's about it.....

At least you know what you like!
Some of my customers don't have a clear vision of what they want.......just that I am supposed to produce it! :-)~

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
