don't ban me ...
A lil'buddy come by with a 1967 ford galaxy 500 ( 390/auto)
he just picked up, tuned it up, checked the brakes out, greased the wheel bearings pulled most of the trim (wish I got a before shot) set the carb ,fixed a few small things I didn't like ( all with him helping ) removed all the paint and primer from the chrome , then popped some dents , smoothed and massaged some panels got it all one color ,masked and taped ( free handed some flames and striped w/aqua blue metal flake same as interior ,my mix )
now the bad part ... used rattle can primer (but didn't go to bare metal ) because he's going to paint in march or april ( so don't put this in T.D.! rAtrOd thread ) . And he's stoked to drive it now so thought I'd show it off he's been driving it around all over showing every body .
WaIT "am I the old guy now" ... "I'm only thirty ! I let him use rattlecan so I can't be that old ...

What ya think ? I don't think it's bad for a few evenings and a few frog skins....... "He's stoked ! "
We even went cruising ( him following of course ) with him, w/my 64' Galaxie then the Nova ,it got me & the wife stoked just to see him. we even picked up a few straglers a 50' Ford ,5?' Plymoth & a 68" Chevy.
parked and had a visit, going to try and all get togeather and do it again.
made me remember why I like to do this stuff!

Great work, Tree!!!! Amazing what a good plan, hard work, and a few dead presidents can accomplish. For those wondering about "how it was done", this is a prime example.... Congrats on some really great work!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Very nice It follows a simple hop up theme. I mean it really looks good in it's simplicity and didn't cost the earth.
How did you come up with an effective design like that ? most cheap jobs come out looking eeeeerrrrghhh !"aerodynamics are for people who cant build engines"

Man that thing looks killer Tree, Recently I got an industrial vinyl sign cutter @ my favorite price "FREE" and me and my youngest boy (16) have been practicing with it and gathering up several vehicle graphic programs, found some way cool flames & pinstripes and we're gonna deck out the little Ford Ranger I got him.
Pretty amazing what a few simple graphics can do to a vehicle.
Again that really looks good, nice and simple............

Smokin65 , don't know how long you been here at CHR but I've got a ThAn'G for - ghost flames - so some how he has decided to do something along the same line with just a shade lighter then his original colors . He wants to go green with a white top " I don't agree w/the green " but it's not my car so, what ya gon'A do , it may turn out cool who knows . I think it'll look like some of the Pontiacs that come factory white vinyl top with green body . I'm just happy he is going to paint it
HWORRELL I'd hate to see what I'd come up with if I had access to a toy like that
southerner we tried a few things w/chalk before "I" thought it looked "OK" . He thought they all looked cool"Whad'ya want for nuth'N, ..............aaa,rrrrrubber biscuit... ?"

I do have kids his age. Man the look did the car some justice. When i get done hope Tree visit's near my neighbor hood
Changed the shocks yesterday to OEM spec Monroe, they are still gas shocks. Disappointed that the ride is still very firm, it is not as bad but I was hoping for better. Might have something to do...
